Our clients wanted to honor their founder Isabelle Simi's legacy and their brand's 100+ year-long history while maintaining relevance to the modern consumer. Our campaign, "Bring Out That Boss," connects Isabelle to present-day high achievers who are great in their own right, with or without the added asterisk of being a woman.
I contributed to concept development of the campaign and exploration of ways that its message could be translated into SIMI's broader social and online presence. On set during the video shoot and during post-production, I also provided visual direction for the talent and crew.

I assisted with design exploration for the campaign's brand identity. We wanted to select a combination of typefaces that felt bold and in tune with popular aesthetics, yet elegant enough to speak to SIMI's more upscale positioning. The color palette was inspired by the packaging of SIMI's signature cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay bottles.
My team also developed concepts for a tabletop shoot to capture stills and videos for social ads and the SIMI website. During pre-production, I compiled prop and wardrobe style boards and assisted with casting our hand models. I also provided on-set direction on shoot day and post-production direction for our retoucher and video editor. Finally, I was responsible for combining our approved visual identity and final assets to design the layout of our campaign landing page.

We carried the new visual identity through to SIMI's social channels, using a mix of our shoot footage and vintage photos of Isabelle. I was responsible for figuring out how modern visual elements like the asymmetrical frame and mixed typefaces could help modernize the archival photos provided by our clients.
