Real estate management company Downtown Properties owns a building in LA just blocks away from major telecommunications hubs like One Wilshire. They approached Kilograph for a full rebrand of this property, with the goal of repositioning it as a data center. Our primary directive was something that felt obviously tech, but didn't totally clash with the building's historic physical appearance.
Once the visual identity had been established, I took on the layout of the website. Before jumping into Figma, I put together an extensive research deck that analyzed the content, structure, and organization of competitor data centers' sites. Going into this project knowing basically nothing about this type of technology, it was helpful to gain some base understanding of what I would be working on, and be able to refer back to examples to guide my design choices.

As part of the site design, I translated the property's visual identity into different types of graphics like icons and maps.
